Premiere of the one-act ballet "Graces" –  November 23, 2024 in Vitebsk.

 

 

The premiere of the ballet production "Three Graces" based on the story by Vasily Shukshin as part of the evening of modern choreography based on the works of Siberian writers "The Edge Near the Sky" by the ballet dancer, choreographer, director, People's Artist of the USSR, winner of many awards, Vladimir Viktorovich Vasiliev, took place on July 24, 2024 in Barnaul (Altai Territory).

 

Four young choreographers Alexander Mogilev (Moscow), Dmitry Zalessky (Minsk), Alexey Rastorguev (Perm) and Yury Smekalov (St. Petersburg) worked on the production of the musical performance "The Edge Near the Sky" as part of the project "Vladimir Vasiliev's Creative Workshop" for the 95th anniversary of Vasily Shukshin, which was included in the non-competition program of the XXVI All-Russian festival "Shukshin Days in Altai".

 

The performance was performed by artists of the State Song and Dance Ensemble "Altai" named after Alexander Berezkov.

Later that year, the production of Three Graces was expanded into a full-fledged one-act ballet, Graces, which premiered on November 23 as part of the international festival of contemporary choreography in Vitebsk on November 20-24, 2024
